When I first started Jao Brand, it was really important to me to have one product that does many things. The less you buy the less packaging you throw away.
When I started Jao Social Club, I was looking for small makers who create locally and sustainably. Everything we are making is in small batches. An example is our clothing line collaboration, made in the EU with certified fabric.
PS shopping locally reduces the need for each little thing you buy to be shipped to you in its own boxes with a huge carbon footprint from China. We are looking at you Amazon! Shopping locally is not just a feel good saying. It actually has a large environmental impact. In Brooklyn we walk to our stores and support the local economy and we are so thankful for our neighbors that do.
